Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog. 

As I said on the front page, and in many of my posts, I'm Marla Sanderson.  I'm currently living and working in Nashville, Tennessee.  I'm doing my best to figure out what I want this phase of my life to look like. I've done a little of everything in my 57 years.  I was a professional artist & photographer.  I worked in the mortgage business for 14 years. I attempted to sell real estate for awhile. I have been a business owner and entrepreneur for well over 24 years. I am currently reinventing one of the businesses, YouNeedADrink.com. I guess I have been a Jane of all trades in a way.  But now I'm trying to narrow down and focus on the things that are most important to me. Not to sound maudlin or depressive (yes, I've had a glass of wine as I am writing this), but in the grand scheme of things, I don't have a lot of time left.  So, I have to get on with it.

I'm using this personal blog as a way to share myself, my knowledge, my humor, and a little wisdom.  To be honest, I want to tell my story and pass it on. How far it goes, is not up to me.

A couple of things I wanted you all to know:

​

1.) I speak and write fluently in my favorite language: PROFANITY.  I find it one of the few things that makes life worth living.  I may not know myself very well on many days, but my love of foul language is one thing I appreciate about myself.  It amuses me.  If this offends you, well sorry/not sorry.  It's who I am.  It gets me through my day.  It makes me happy. I'm too old to change.

2.) Within this site, I do have affiliate marketing links.  You can read the disclosures here.  After years of passing on good products to friends, family and readers, I decided it is only fair that I get a little somethin' somethin' for my endorsement. I have signed up to help promote certain products that I believe in through Amazon and other companies who pay me a small commission on a sale that comes from my site.  I would appreciate your support in keeping the lights on.  Really, I appreciate it....very much...have I said I APPRECIATE IT???  Well, I do.

Now, back to the bio already in progress.

I am a list maker.  Have been all my life.  This time I am trying to really accomplish those little things that I put on the back burner. Redesigning this blog (yeah, there was a Blogger version that I abandoned years ago) has been on my to-do list for quite awhile.  Here it is.

I just realized I typed out loud....in front of the deity of your choice and everyone...I AM A FUCKING SENIOR CITIZEN!  Good. Gawd. Gerdy!  I guess it's true; I'm leaning in to the whole old-ass broad description.  Might as well just calls it as I sees it. Of course, I haven't reached the age of Medicare yet, which believe it or not, I look forward to.  But I figure if AARP knows my name and sent me an invitation to join when I turned 50, I am a fucking Senior Citizen. OK, BOOMER.....indeed!
